New Day
Okay, here it is Wednesday and I do not have a painting complete. What is they say: "we are our worst critics?" Yep, that is where I am today, but hey! I've been working - REALLY working hard to get my studio together. My latest order of supplies came in today! LOL I really had a panic attack when I took Susans workshop, still had not unpacked all of my painting supplies - now cad red to be found anywhere! Just had to wing it... went out last week and bought cad "everything"! and then ordered online more. Well, naturally, today while emptying more boxes, I could not believe the tubes of paint that I found! Now I have many tubes of every color. Did I mention that during the last year I lost my Dad to cancer? For more than 6 months I was a care provider and life/death coach for one of the most important people in my life. I absolutely was not going to let him die! Well, God had other plans for him and now I am reconciled to that fact. It is time to get back to the living, (I still have Mom to corrall everyday) and do what it is that I am blessed with in life.

Snow Snow Snow
It snowed all day yesterday here in Hillsboro. That is almost unheard of. Some of the flake were gigantic! You know, like really BIG! But today it is all gone and the sun was out - not a cloud in the sky. Go figure that one, Al Gore.

Sunday
Here it is, Sunday evening at 7:45 pm. Yesterday I had a wonderful experience of participating in an online painting workshop. It lasted all day - very rewarding and I finished an oil painting still life. Susan Carlin was the instructor. I discovered her by accident. Harvey and I were in San Antonio for Valentine's weekend and we visited her studio. Susan is a very gracious person and very personable! She told me about the workshop and I registered before leaving her studio. I look forward to the next workshop. She has inspired me to start painting more. My new goal is to do 5 paintings per week.
